Oh boy this is gonna be hard.

When I was in third grade or so, my school's library had a series of books in the style of where's waldo, except there were several different things to do per page. Each book told a story about a girl ( and sometimes her dog companion ) doing something, somewhere, the ones I remember:
hiking a mountain and finding a family of yetis who lived there
exploring an alien planet
doing SOMETHING in a farm
I remember you had to find a certain flower in each page of the mountain one, because something would happen and the yetis needed them, you had to find safe routes to pass through things and you had to pick what food she and her dog would get when they left ( given that they had a certain amount of money and both had to get something to drink and something to eat ).

I have no idea who wrote/drew them, but it should've been in the early 90s or so.
