Genious, the rights of the Masses over the Induvidual,
or Menace, Individual over Masses I didn't really like either of them, but you actually made Menace a more pleasing character than Genious. :P

Each one makes excellent points and I tried to show both sides. I don't really prefer either.
I made Menace become increasingly sympathetic and Genius increasingly unsympathetic each time they were "on screen" to A) expose the idea that appearances are not what they seem B) to toss an inversion of expectations at the reader as a kind of precursor to the ending, and C) to set up events for Atomik Age. It is not meant as an endorsement of either's philosophy. Maybe we'll find out which one is "right" and which one "wins" in Atomik Age. Also, I make no guarantee that the "right" one will be the "victorious" one. ![]()

Well, Genious definantly has more control over the world, so I'd bet that Meance will win. (what? XD)
Anyways, I really liked how you set that up, and in fact, it was one of the more interesting points in the book, to see how they fought, not as right vs wrong, really, but more as idea vs idea. ![]()

Individual > Masses, seriously. Masses over individual is a slippery slope to communism (The state is all!). Get it? Our country is a fine example of the rights of the individual taking precedence over the rights of the masses (or the state).

We give our governments permission to work; to make laws and to enforce them on us and to represent us in the global community. No one gave Doc Genius permission to make decisions about the fate of all humanity.
I think that's really the source of tension between Genius and Menace. Genius has the resources and an almost inhuman intelligence. If anyone in the world should rule it, it ought to be her. Menace seems to think that people should have a choice in the matter. She only wants "world domination" to get the attention of world leaders and their populations so she can show them who is in control. She has to aim for something so huge and ridiculous and let her self be portrayed so villainously so that her voice cannot be ignored.

Also, Menace looks like something out of a How to Draw Fanservice book.
![]() Anyway, is Genius a part of the government? The government rules with the consent of the people, but it doesn't seem like Genius is part of that system, just the head of a major, trusted corporation.

At the end of Nuklear Age,
Spoiler: Genious seemed to be in some form of government control, but that's largly because there were only three cities in the world left and Genious tied them all together with global communications giving her near ultimate control. Though, I'm more interested about the English city (being from the UK) which name escapes me, that was "saved" somehow from the bombs falling.

We have spoiler font in this forum. the format is {color=111111}text{/color}, replacing the {'s with ['s. This makes the text itself invisible, and you can only read it by selecting it. While any spoiler warning is better than none, this way works best. Example: Invisdable!
