10 minute speed sketching

So, we played a game in chat. By "we played", I mean: "I went into chat and started demanding people give me things to draw in 10 minutes and then post." I wanted to get some drawing in, and this way I was forced to draw things and was held accountable to how they came out.

First up was some weird prompt about DBZ and japanese bug-super heros? Ask Marc.

Second up was Sub Zero, suggested by Matt. At least I knew this guy, but time management was not my friend.

Third was Terex giving me a bear eating his tax returns.

Fourth was Nemesis. At this point, I at least got time management down better, so I got most of his... bits... in.

Kim then asked me to draw Twili-Midna sitting on Link, but that failed miserably. I hardly got the thing planned out in thumbnails before time was up. (Sorry again, Kim! :( )

I then did a weird stream of consciousness thingy that no one asked for, drawing things with no real idea what I was drawing or why. This was me doodling and clearing out my mind after not getting anything drawn for Link/Midna.

Finally, Matt said, "Abe Lincoln with Nunchucks". I went a bit over time on this, since I had no nunchucks when the timer was beeping. Took an extra minute to scribble them in.

So, what's up next?

I think the bear's my favourite.

Great how much detail you got in on Abe's face in just 15 minutes.

It happened again!

First up was "Mr. Saturn skateboarding

Up next: Tingle riding Yoshi

Then: Marth and Lucina sharing hair-care tips. Didn't end up getting through this in time, and had to make sacrifices. Like, um, Marth looking anything like Marth, and Lucina not being decapitated.

Finally, Matt said to draw Ness hitting Wario in the nuts with a baseball batt. This one was done un-timed. Wario was a pain, and things would have been so much nicer without him.

A lot less happy with the results tonight, but you win some, you lose some.

And last but not least, Jessica from Dragon Quest zapping Kirby with a wand. Also untimed, uh maybe half an hour? Kirby is so easy to draw.

Matt said Crunchy (Quan Chi). Terex said drinking disappointing cinnamon schnapps. Time sorta happened when I was adding in the body. Hence the... Well, you can see.

Kim said Cat Link, and I continue my trend of being unable to draw anything Zelda. :(

And finally, no one asked for a sketch of Rodriguez, but here it is anyway. This was untimed, but probably about a half hour to an hour of sketching

Since I really enjoyed Alien: Isolation, I doodled the Xenomorph with a cat. Don't worry, he loves them, the kitty is in no danger.

Even after I learned, grew up, and came to be on the right side of a lot of important issues, I was still angry, abrasive, and generally increased the amount of hate in the world, in pretty unacceptable ways. On the off chance that someone is taking a trip down memory lane looking through those old threads, I wanted to devote my signature to say directly to you, I'm sorry. Thank you for letting me be better, NPF.
