Heh, maybe we should stop making toys in general? I mean, toys that aren't directly related to either fitness or education. All those frivolous toys are marketed towards children, trying to get them to sit around for hours on end "playing" and "having fun".

What benefit does a child derive from a tickle me elmo doll, or a transformer action robot? If they've got time to "exercise their imagination" then they have time to learn basic algebra and jog 2 miles!

Wait, wait, wait. McDonald's lures kids with toys? Like... just about everything else aimed at kids ever? What about casinos? Do they lure adults in? Of course they do! Is it bad behavior? It's worse than McDonalds! I got me niece one of these:



That's a toy. It doesn't serve any real purpose, it makes colorful balls bounce around, it makes a fun "popping" noise... Toys are toys are toys. They attract kids not because they're tools to work with, because they're flashy and spinny and awesome.

That doesn't make them bad, or 'lures.'

...Do they seriously expect to say that in court and have everyone keep a straight face? You're getting mad at a fast food restaurant serving unhealthy food and offering toys with a meal aimed towards children?

1) We're all eating unhealthy food. That's because it's fast, easily available and it tastes good. They're being good business men. Don't blame them because you're fat.

2) Since when are children rushing in to McDonald's? Aren't children dependent on their parents for eating out? If your kid is in McDonald's three meals a day, Happy Meal toys are nowhere near the worst of your problems.

3) I previously made a thread where we discussed health food. Or at least healthier food then what we've been eating. It's apparently pretty easy to get a hold of.

we know that the toys, nor McDonald's doesn't do any of that. Sure McDicks isn't healthy food, but if you employeed your kids in a sport or other activities and fed them normal food, there wouldn't a problem.
