Well, I've receivethed quite a bit of entertainment from the various LP's on this forum, so I thought it might be time to giveth with an LP of my own...
There's two games I've been considering as candidates. One is Heroes of Might and Magic 5, the other is Space Empires 5. In one you take control of a fantasy-setting city-state, and then attempt to become the dominant power in the region, largely by upgrading your city, building your army, training your hero and conquering the land. There wouldn't be too much interactivity involved here, though I'd leave it up to the audience to pick our starting race, the hero's skill progression and probably our general strategy, as well as a few difficult decisions. In the other you take control of a planet and civilisation and then attempt to conquer the galaxy and all other intelligent races in this galaxy. You research new technologies, design ships, populate planet after planet. This involves a lot more strategy, so readers could actually have more of a hand in deciding what happens. I've put some thought into how to tell this story as well, and I think it'd work out well... I'll leave you to work out which is which. I'll probably be doing the one there's more popular demand for. Both are awesome. Take your pick. |
