Default Devil May Cry 4

A mere few days till its out. What are your expectations, what weapons do you wanna try out, which character, any theories on Nero's arm?

I really wanna give the Pandora's Box a try. The guns ussually dont excite me in DMC, but this one is so so sweet, I need to try it. I also wanna give Lucifer a run, it looks neat.

While I don't usually like spending extra money for things, this was one of the few things I got the collector's edition for. I've been excited for what's felt like years, especially since they started previewing more of the story.

As for Dante's weapons, I wanna try out Gilgamesh and see how it stacks up to the past claws in the games. They look really speedy/powerful at the cost of no range, which is what I had thought Beowulf would turn out to be in 3 (it wasn't). Plus the obligatory Pandora's Box interest. Seriously, it turns into a missile platform, how could I not be excited?

Well, this is what IGN says is in the collector's edition. So that's 4 or 5 episodes of the anime along with "extras" which I assume includes the soundtrack.

Good stuff, either way.

PS3 version has a 5 gig mandatory install, as was the 360 version (MS said no, since not everyone has HD for their 360s) so apparently the loads on the 360 are kinda long.

I preordered the Collector's Edition. I need this game like I need oxygen. Doing Jump Cancels is so satisfying.

Same. My purchase might be delayed slightly due to finances, but Collector's Edition was necessary. Anything else felt disappointing.

Also: Shawn McPherson is doing DMC4's soundtrack as well, so I expect it to be orgasmic, so hell yes the Soundtrack comes with it.

EDIT: If this game ends up as good as it's been promising I am getting the logos from DMC 1, 3, and 4 tattooed on my body. Swearing on that.

ThunderousWrath will become famous soon enough. Eventually. Maybe.

The demo was awesome.

As for Nero's arm, I have my own theory...

Nero resembles Dante (and Vergil) because they share DNA. A cult of Sparda-worshipping, demon hunting knights seems like a pretty good jump-off point for attempting to "clone" Sparda. The attempt failed, and what they got is Nero. Dante's kills all the knights because he's not down with other people abusing Sparda's power, as has been demonstrated in the past. So that's my theory.

Sound good? Yes? No? Bleh.

I'm excited about everything.

DMC3 gameplay with a more DMC1-ish feel to the enemy design? HELL YES.

Also: The official art books for reservation customers came into my Gamestop today. I got to take a look at one. It was pretty rad, and also described some of the auxillary characters a little more fully.

Just so everyone knows, if you've got your copy reserved, you should try to pick it up ASAP. The art books are in limited supply, and will only be handed out while supplies last.

I just hope Dante isnt as annoying as he was in 3. Ideally hed be like he was in 1 or 2, but I think it'll be pretty hard to out-annoy him in DMC3.

I also wish I could get my PSN connected so I could DL demos period.
