I think I might buy a ticket tomorrow. It's kind of scary because holy shit $100 just for the ticket and I'd have to get there and back during fall quarter but this is going to be the Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 Blizzcon and goddamn I can't miss that. Especially if the beta key they give out this year is for D3.

Is anyone else going? I'd like to share a hotel room but I don't know anyone locally who's also going to Blizzcon.

Though I'm not going, I will venture a guess that the beta key they're giving out is not for D3.

It's probably not for SC2, either.

That leaves one last Blizzard cash cow that currently has a closed beta in progress.

Honestly I wouldn't mind being in the wotlk beta. I wouldn't mind not being in the wotlk beta, I got into the TBC beta through the leveling contest (there were so few participants that anyone who qualified won. I still pushed hard to get a second char to 20 but it wasn't needed.) and although I enjoyed it it meant that I had to level my lock twice.

My account is currently inactive but I'm going to get wotlk and hit the new cap, see the new dungeons. Whether or not I stay for the level cap equipment grind depends on if I find a new set of friends on the server I play.

EDIT: Well, it only took me all goddamn day but I managed to get a ticket out of that battered shell of a web store.

Anyway it seems moot since it looks like nobody else here was interested and I'll have to find a roommate elsewhere. I guess if you guys want I can try and find stuff out for you but I won't be bringing a laptop so you'd have to wait until the show was over to hear from me.
