You see where I come from snow lives up in mountains, only coming out a few times a year and even then about halfway up.
Suddenly I am thrust into the middle of some kind of blizzard, can't tell the road from the footpath, stairs are solid blocks of snow where you can't tell one from the next and vision is limited to a few meters.
Like what is up with snow? And why would you build cities in it? Especially airports as my flights might get cancelled and the Eurocentric bastards at the airline are like "Noone could possibly want transfers because we fly everywhere in Europe and that's only place you could want to go. So we'll just refund our flights".

Thankfully most of the snow that fucked up my shit the other day has melted around here.

Now we are on the holy-shit-there's-ice-fucking-everywhere-and-I-can-barely-stand-up-without-slipping stage.

The worse thing is that my dad used to live in Boston, and as such I know what real snow is like (up to my waist in places), and yet around here, barely six inches is enough to send the whole system crashing down. Mainly as it snows, like, twice a year and rarely settles so making preparations would be a waste of time and money, but shut up.

I don't know, what's outside would probably be considered light snow but it's like a billion times more sonw than I have ever seen in my life.

We had some snow here recently too. Most of it's gone now though, we're just down to a few patches of thick frost, but it's still way too damn cold outside for my liking.

What was worse was having to thaw my car out yesterday before driving into Chester; I swear the windscreen was frozen on the inside. Also I nearly had a major disater while driving; my windscreen got a load of shit on it from a passing lorry on the bypass, so I flick on the wipers to wash it off... only I get no water and the wiper smears dirt across the entire window. And there's nowhere to stop. And the sun was directly in my face all the way. I was literally driving blind for about 5 minutes at 50 miles an hour before I could find somewhere to pull over, only to discover when I open up the bonnet that the washer bottle has actually frozen over, hence no water.

So yeah, fuck snow, fuck ice, and fuck the cold!! Damn stuff nearly killed me!

We actually have snow! And lots of it. Don't get me wrong, snow isn't unusual here during the winter. It's just that for the past, I'd say a bit less than a decade, I remember winters here in the south being a bit on and off with the snow. Global warming, seriosly.

See, the whole railway network is practically down. The NS (tranporter) points at ProRail (infrastructure... company-thingamabob) while ProRail's saying "Huh. Snow. Who saw that coming in the winter? Yeah, totally not our fault the switches aren't winter-proof."
