THE BEAUTIFUL BEACHES OF TATOOINE

Exar Kun has recently been defeated, and the
people of the OLD REPUBLIC are only now beginning to
return to peace. As life returns to normal, so too do
many spacers leave their homes in relative safety for the
first time in decades looking to find their fortune as
smugglers, pirates, and more lawful occupations.

Promising riches and wealth CZERKA CORPORATION
has lured many of these poor men and women to a
desert world known as TATOOINE, where the people
live in constant fear of attack by vicious sand people
and other, less intelligent, lifeforms. Oppressive
contracts and lack of income makes escape from this
world nearly impossible, once a spacer has set down
upon it.

Hoping to leave the planet to find a better life elsewhere
an ex-spacer turned Miner, Davis Roth, gathers a small
group of hopefuls at a nearby cantina with a plan for
escape.

Meanwhile, a new darkness, noticed by only a few of the
most powerful Jedi masters, begins to move over the
galaxy once again...

A poorly shimmering holovid plays a colorful tune in the center of the room as the blue and flickering image of a twi'lek dancer repeating the same few moves. Nothing surprising for the Czerka Corp. Miners' bar in anchor head where a small group gathers about a large man, even by the miners' standards, whom is leaning in toward them and speaking conspiratorially.

"...So it just crashed out there, but I figure this could be our chance to get off this planet. Whoever was in that ship ain't pissed away their money and time here yet--ifs we can help 'em, we might convince 'em to take us off this worthless rock when they leave," he said in a low voice, though his face was split wide in a grin. The thought of finally having a chance to get back to the space lines obviously bringing his spirit to a soar.
