Basic use of this trope notwithstanding, the execution of it is looking way too close for comfort.

But also, it's a 10-minute gag and they're blowing it up into a feature length Adam Sandler vehicle. I'm not hopeful.

Although, it would be interesting to see a roasting of arcade champ douches which sounds like at least a part of the plot, so that might be amusing.
