Just opened my Steam account and noticed that my copy of Shadowrun: Hong Kong is now called Shadowrun: Hong Kong - Extended Edition. In addition to a 666.9 (gasp!) MB download size, this apparently adds bug fixes as well as a six-plus hour additional campaign which takes place shortly after the events of Hong Kong. Anyone who previously owned the game gets this for free, much like Dragonfall's upgrade.
Wow. I really gotta hand it to Harebrained Schemes-- they put a lot of effort into what amounts to free storyline DLC for the majority of players. And right in the middle of a Steam sale, too! I know I said Hong Kong wasn't as good as Dragonfall, but I still really enjoyed it and am looking forward to seeing if this bonus campaign answers any of the questions the game left hanging at the end of the original story. I also hope I can import my last character, because she was a magical murder machine. Troll mage is surprisingly effective in spite of having a lower cap for spellcasting than the other races. She's not a glass cannon-- She's a tank with a flamethrower taped to it.
