I have nowhere else to turn to talk about this stuff. NPF, you are my home.

I'm nervous that this is going to be shit because it has to strike that careful balance of, as snake said, new and familiar, and that has to work into the gameplay somehow (I'm mainly thinking of how archaic the ATB turn-based battles might feel, now, almost 20 year later).

But, uh, yeah, I'm excited. This more than anything will motivate me to buy a PS4, finally.

FFVII, whatever its value when it came out, has not aged well in any respect worth mentioning. If its ANYTHING BUT a pretty-much-brand-new game telling the same story as before (Think Lufia 2 -> Lufia DS except not dumb), no amount of aesthetic touchups will make it good in the year 2015.

So, let us watch and wait, yeah?
