League of Legends
I play it.
Season 1 started, I cant solo/duo q because I can't carry harder than my team feeds. Anyone else play? Wanna q up? I am +40 W/L in normal games (11 leaves, so more like +30) to give you an idea of skill/elo. Also, discuss LoL! |

Isn't this the byproduct of DoTA? If it is, I've heard good things, but I've never felt inclined to pick it up myself.

Not necessarily it's quite different from DoTA/HoN in lots of things apart from the basic gameplay. It's also free to play.

It's one of them DotA spawned Heroes of Newerth, the "clone" of DotA and League of Legends, the cousin. LoL changes a lot of the gameplay and how stats work, etc. etc. creates its own system while HoN just copies DotA. LoL is typically more active, a bit more intuitive, and a bit more stale after a while (uninspired hero design in the name of balance).
That last part isn't a huge deal. I have over 700 matches played and I'm still good playing it. If you wanna pick it up, its still totally free (or you could get the collectors edition with a bunch of champions and a few skins). You get points for playing matches, you can spend points on new champions or runes. Runes give you passive bonuses to all of your champions, but you can only choose one "rune page" at a time that has 30 slots. They dont let you buy anything that would give you the upper hand with real money. Uhh... I think thats all the random info I got now. XD |
