So, I'm running Windows 7, which basically works a lot like Vista, and I'm trying to run Diablo II and another game, but I keep having problems. When I try to run Diablo II I get "Error 22: DirectDraw somethingsomething" and when I try and run the other game, I get "Direct3D" and a bunch of gibberish because I can't figure out how to install a Japanese language pack. These problems both look like they have to do with DirectX, which I have the latest version of. Am I just going to have to go to an older version of Windows like XP, or is there an easier fix?
EDIT: Tried to install XP so I could just do it that way, and during the install I kept getting a message saying it couldn't copy a couple config files, and when I was starting the computer after the install it just shut down. Tried to go to repair, and it just shut down. Tried to reinstall XP again, and it just shut down. So right now I'm using Linux till I reinstall Windows 7.
