No matter how many years go by, I still find Magic to be a fun and enjoyable experience. Its a wonderful way to meet fellow nerds, and poses a real challenge to our minds, as we try outwit each other, one card at a time.
Are there any other NPFers who too enjoy this wonderful passtime? P.S. White Weenies ftw.

There are. And I've even had the privilage to play a funzies game with Richard Garfield. He's really a rather cool guy. We got to use those huge cards they used to give away as Arena prizes every month back in the day.
Anyway, I play, though I've taken a slight sebatical these last few months. Blue is my color of choice with Black and White followed close behind. |

I haven't gotten a chance to play much lately. Gonna try to get my LARP friends into it, though, so we'll see how that goes.
When I did play, I had lots of fun with a Green/White lifegain/tokenmaker deck.

White Tokenwhore straight up, yo.
I roll a Spirit/Arcane Deck, despite those being horribly unpopular. |

i used to have a full red/green "Elven Fireball" deck, managed a personal record of Victory at the 6th turn for 38 direct damage! Dont play much now...
The thing with magic is that, if you're serious about it... it will cost you nicely. Luck and strategy do win, but, people who put their cash in their decks win a lot too... |

Have you seen the new "All In!" Red deck? I gave it a spin a while back and had a blast.

Blue/Black decks are my favorite. I don't like those colors on their own, though.
My favorite deck is a Blue/Black that makes good use of Gibbering Descent. One time my friend opened a pack of Planar Chaos and he got three rares. One Body Double, a foil Body Double, and a timeshifted Akroma. |

My favorite deck to play with has always been an artifact deck. When Mirrodin came out I wet my pants.
BOTTLE GNOMES.

Mirrodin was amazing.
By the way. In the new shards of alara set, they have some new cards I've never seen before. Mythic-Rare Planeswalker cards. Here are a few of them. http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/Card...spx?&id=174983 http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/Card...spx?&id=174852 I have no idea what these cards are, how to play them, or what there abilities mean. Could anybody help explain this to me? Also, you haven't played magic until you've played an un-set match with somebody crazy enough to build an un-set deck. I've had the honor of both playing with, and being beaten by, an un-set deck. It was not pretty.
