The 2nd Amendment, Under Assault!

I bring this up because I do support a person's right to own a weapon, but this:

Jason Gregory, who manages Gretna Gun Works just outside of New Orleans, has been building his personal supply of ammunition for months. His goal is to have at least 1,000 rounds for each of his 25 weapons.

seems......excessive. Is there currently an attack on gun rights, or are crazy gun owners just getting even crazier? (although in the midst of the zombie apocalypse I will know who's house to try to find)
