So I've been unemployed for about two months now. During the time I've not been spending trying to get a job, I've been falling back into Magic pretty hard and have been building some fun decks for tournament and casual play.
The problem is that I really have nowhere to showcase these ideas and talk about my hobby with like-minded people on the internet. NPF is awesome for a lot of things, but the Magic threads that do pop up every blue moon are usually tapped out of conversation within a day and soon forgotten. The handful of other forums that I am a part of are more Ragnarok Online oriented than anything else so they're out as well. And on a whim I even logged back onto my ancient Gaia account just to see how the Tabletop Games forum was doing these days. Short answer: poor. The forum itself moves slower than a snail and there appears to only be about six people there who actually play Magic and they spend their time fighting or circle jerking amongst themselves. Anyway, does anyone happen to know of a decent and friendly Magic the Gathering forum that isn't the Wizards of the Coast website? |

Does your local comicbook- and/or nerd-store have a website with forums?
Check those first. Other than that... no, I really don't.

I have not. While I do shop there a lot, I completely neglected the fact that they had a forum.
