That is literally the Kickstarter's name...
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...o-game-console It's already funded. With 25 days to go. How much it got so far? 4 Million. How much it asked for? 950 thousand. Quote:
So, it's like a big slice of steam running in a console with a lot of free-to-try stuff. So, this is actually a topic we will hear a ton about on the next few weeks/months... i'm not sure how much of a success it can actually be, but Hey... i've seem far stupider things getting funded. |

I still don't get why so many people bought into it but....yeah you are right, I seen crappier things funded.
Although there was a list of what games people wanted on it most and games like Skyrim was on it. So right now my guess to why so many people bought into it is "a lot of them are idiots who have no idea what they are paying for". |

I'm a backer. ^^ Sounds like a good idea.
I'm uncertain about the specifics of how they are going to work with copyrights and what not, but it also appears to be one of the best ways to make older games from various systems that are hard to find available to the public again. I mean, judging from the look of the survey of games that are being made available to put on the OUYA, if they can offering to include Skyrim, Grand Theft Auto and Final Fantasy, what's stopping them from offering to put up games from the older generations? (Would be great if I could play the Lunar Series among several other RPGS!") Granted, this would be the final nail in the coffin for many game stores, at least for those trying to sell used games. ^^; I'll tell you guys what I think of it when I get it. Estimated around March, so don't hold your breath. =3 |

i took their pool more like a "Style of games you like" than actually "Makes you want to play"
I mean, they are offering a completely free to play platform here... even if some games are trials or demos... |

I have no faith in this project. They don't have the hardware connections larger companies have. Nor the marketing connections. Nor the dev support. I just have a hard time imagining them getting this on the market with the specs they intend for the price they want and being any sort of success.

Eh, actual investors apparently supported the Phantom. Which vanished like its namesake, oddly. Or is OnLive the same people as the Phantom? It's definitely the same idea. In any case, this console seems to have a more solid game plan.

It has NVidia support, it seems ti will have some sort of customized Tegra3 graphic chip in it. so THAT's certainly a plus.
