My OC series and other stuff

This is something I've been planning for years and years. I'm still pretty unsure about the style, but I decided it was about time I finally tried starting the dang thing.

Anyways, this first issue is a little bit slow and simple, I thought it'd be best to sort of lull readers into it? Anyways, things pick up more, with characters and setting in the 2nd issue, which I haven't started. I'm trying to update this twice a week on a regular schedule, and its already running me ragged!

Please go somewhere interesting with this. It's really easy to fall into a rut of "Bad guy, fight bad guy, new bad guy/returning bad guy, fight bad guy." And those stories can work, but it's hard for them to stand out, you know?

I couldn't help myself from noticing - and subsequently getting distracted by -- the inconsistencies with apostrophes (i.e. present sometimes, absent others). And a couple words appear to be missing their letters ("you're al skinny and ...", "is that normal here for this me of year")

The concept seems interesting so far. I wonder why metas/supers/whatnot are staying on the coasts.

Hmm, why did the thug switch to not using his gun? Also wiuld the bait thug or woman warn the rich dude that he was using perfectly good English with corny humor literally moments ago? And that he probably isn't as dumb as he is pretending to be?

Maybe it's an East of Eden thing, where if someone is expecting pidgin they won't hear or understand anything but pidgin?

Anyways, thanks for the interest guys, I'll put up 9 more pages on Friday, and put soem other odds and ends I been working on after that.

The issues are 24 pages long and I'm working on 18 right now.

I liked how the effect on panel one turned out. But then that pose on panel three turned into ass. How can you even get references for something like that? :/




Note about that kukri knife: its a part of his suit so he can summon and unsummon it at anytime, as well as a grappling hook with rope, and a storage pack. It looks real random now, but it gets explained in the middle of issue 2. Originally I was just gonna have all three of those things on his suite regularily, but I decided that that would be OBNOXIOUSLY cluttered.

Heh, my mom got me a Spider-man action figure because she thought it'd be good for drawing figure references, but its movements are too dang limited.

With these ones I've been trying out some fancy color shading. All I've got is Corel painter to work with :/








With this one I've tried doing lighting layers as well as the shading layers I usually do. Oh, and that's supposed to be a parody pokemon I call "Taxtle"










Funny thing: I don't recall any "freedom of speech" card getting played when the Koran Burning Day and Innocence of Muslims shiz went down :/
