System Requirements

SquareEnix has stated that the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV will likely need a fairly powerful computer. The Final Fantasy XIV community expects the minimum system requirements to be similar to The Last Remnant, which are as follows:

* CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo (2GHz) \ AMD Athlon X2 (2GHz)
* RAM: 1.5 GB Ram
* Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 VRAM 256 MB or equivalent

Not necessarily. They've removed conventional leveling, so, hopefully, they've removed traditional grind by extension.

You can't remove grind from an MMORPG. MMORPGs are reward systems based on grinding. This has been my universal observation, and I'm eagerly, eagerly waiting to be shown otherwise.

That said, I have applied anyway because why not. :p

I gladly direct you towards Guild Wars. I've been able to get really far in several of my title tracks without grinding and just casually playing. And hit the max level cap of 20 on all my characters.

Hell, I completely hate farming. I think of it as thoroughly boring and just ... terrible. That didn't stop me from getting my stuff in GW, just made it a lot slower.

I'm gonna sign up for this, I guess.

To elaborate, I don't mind a certain level of grinding. Its actually the developer's duty to HIDE just how much grinding I'm actually doing to the best of their abilities. Because when it comes down to it, most of the games I've ever played are grinds. But they're interesting grinds, and so far in this vein I have found MMORPGs unimpressive.

That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed DDO when it launched but I reached cap in a month and it lacked post-cap content. Puzzle Pirates was also the shit.
