In this day and age where we have any number of electronic devices have a clock, I was curious who still carries a watch around.
I used to carry a pocket watch around, but with cellphone, wallet, and ipod my pockets have grown too full

I have one I used to wear a lot. Now I don't wear it that much anymore. Just when I go somewhere, where I have to turn off my cellphone. But when I wear it my wrist starts hurting... which is just great.

I have a wristwatch, but part of the strap broke a few years ago so I've been fashioning a replacement bit out of tinfoil and tape since. It rarely lasts long but it does the job and is easily replaced.

Ayup.
I'm rather compulsive about checking the time, so pulling my cell phone out of my pocket gets to be a pain in the ass. And watches are just classy. |

I do not. I have access to some sort of clock at all times which renders it entirely unnecessary.
Considering all of them except for my alarm clock and the clock in my car automatically update with daylight savings time, I like it that way. |

I have been using the clocks on computers and my cellular phone for, oh, maybe a decade now instead of wearing a watch. Before my watch broke a few years back, I basically wore it out of habit / it went with what I was wearing.
The prevalence of smartphones, or really even just mobile phones with screens, killed the "need" for a watch, IMO. But that doesn't make them worse, out of fashion, or whatever. Of course there are definitely times and activities where a watch is more convenient.

I dont carry a watch, but I should because I got one as a present ages ago and I still havent taken it anywhere to tighten it a bit so I can wear it.

I've known two people who regularly wore watches. One worked at a work store in high school, and the other did not necessarily wear it as a time piece.
