So I'm gonna buy it. It looks pretty wizard.
I can't remember, but I think a lot of forum persons were up in arms against some sort of DRM thing. Well, whatever. |

Yeah, I've got it bought and installed already, just waiting for release day to fire it up.
Biggest issue with it is that its Online Only play. Even if you play solo, you still have to be online. For some that is actually a big deal, for others, couldn't care less. |

Yeah I don't give a fuck about the online play, I only had Diablo II to play online anyway. They should add an offline mode for sure, but that isn't my fight.
We should get a D3 NPF party going. |

Diablo III will have checkpoints from the looks of it. No idea how they work, but anyway, considering what I liked about Diablo II this is a pretty major deal breaker.

What with the amount of whinging about this game from the fans, I expect it to actually be pretty good (assuming an inverse relationship between fan outrage and quality). Especially when the main thrust of the hatred seemed to come down to the game's palette "not being gray enough", a complaint so outlandish it made any further complaints about the actual gameplay be colored with the same incredulity, for me at least.

Never really liked D2 because of all the grinding needed, but it looks like that's been improved in the sequel. Also, while finally looking at info about the game (since I haven't looked at anything D3 related since the game was announced), I've discovered the Wizard class which does away with the second gripe I had with D2, that of ridiculously slow mana regeneration.
So yeah, now I'm seriously considering buying the game.

I liked Diablo II because I have no social life.
That being said, what's wrong with the online-check thing? As far as I know, most of us (except me) have stable cable, what with the being online all the time anyway. There's really nothing to be mad at. Every half hour or whatever, *blip*, okay, you're online, you bought this legally, no worries mate. What's the big deal? |

You gotta be online and loged in at all times. It is exactly the same as trying to play on a server in mutiplayer. Soon as you lose internet, there goes your single player game. Same thing happened with Starcraft 2 at launch, stupid then and stupid now. |
