Making it happen.

![]() That's right, a new chapter in the Ace Attorney saga is coming out, and this time it's returning to America! In full 3D! And no part of the iconic art style, nor the animation, is being lost in this transition. Phoenix is back on the bar with a snazzy new chain and vest, and a new junior partner with a new angle for sweating perps. No sign of Maya or Pearl yet, but anything's possible. Sadly, this new game will be available via digital download only, with no plans for physical copies. This is likely due to the same uninspiring sales on Ace Attorney Investigations that led to AAI2 not being localized. Perhaps if this sells well enough we'll see that change in the future.

Really hope this game turns out well after Capcom crushed my dreams for Investigations 2.

That actually looks pretty rad. Makes me wish I had a 3ds. Almost.
Did they ever get around to actually publishing that Phoenix Wright/Professor Layton crossover thing that everyone was so hyped about? Or did that turn out to be a joke or something?

But, yeah, this looks cool, although not cool enough for me to buy a 3DS. Yeah, it came out back in... November, I think? It was Japan only. Licensing probably has something to do with it. |

Apollo's in it, as a playable character still. There was a lot of drama about whether or not he'd be in, or maybe he'd turned to ~the dark side~ and become a prosecutor, but no, both Phoenix and Apollo are attorneys, fighting for truth and justice and so on.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dual Destinies has been out for a week, and yet... ![]() Nobody is talking about it? ![]() Let me just say, the game is amazing. Aside from a few typos here and there, the localization is fantastic as ever. The music is finely crafted and used. The 3D animations do not look in any way out of place and feel just as well-made and characterful as the 2D sprites of prior games. The cases are as knotted as you've come to expect, and you'll enjoy unraveling each and every single mystery thanks to the solid and well-connected writing. ![]() Anybody who disliked Apollo, for whatever reason, will almost certainly change their minds about him in this game. Nobody feels like they're overshadowed or hogging the spotlight, and you get to see everybody playing to their best strengths. The new Prosecutor Blackquill is delightfully quirky as he should be and brings a whole new brand of hilarious attorney abuse to the table. ...... Only major complaint is that the game never addresses, and only barely even mentions, Kristoph Gavin's Black Psyche Locks, despite the fact that Black Locks come up in this game and are even resolved! Given all the continuity nods it's a little disappointing they didn't at least try. On the other hand, I hear there are some DLC cases coming down the road (supposedly Japan already has a case about an Orca?), so there is a possibility that we might get more.
