While browsing through my usual haunts, someone linked this, and it looks really fantastic! If you've got younger family members that you're interested in getting into RPGs, this might be just the ticket!

I've not played them myself, so I can't promise anything, but I thought you guys might be interested nonetheless.

It's such a shame I didn't learn about Dungeons and Dragons (and other RPGs) until I was 19 years old. That will never happen to my future offspring.

I'm glad this got extended for two more days. I'm trying to see if some of my friends want in on it or not.

Get it for them! It's cheap, DRM-free, and the money goes to two good causes!

And the Hero Kids and School Daze games alone are worth the price.

Both are basic d6 with occasional modifier games, both incredibly simple, and seductively easy.

Let me be clear: I want to play both of these games for me. They're obviously designed with kids in mind, but they're so clear, simple, and just plain well made, that I'm really eager to try playing them at some point. To that end, I'm actually starting to look for excuses to play with my neighbors - maybe in our not-yet-extant, but hopefully-forthcoming Game Night (possibly combined with our Pizza Party).

The others, I simply haven't checked out due to lack of time. One way or another, though, I'm planning on getting lots of use out of these in the coming years.

So I've been playing around with the Hero Kids gaming system. It's tons of fun, and so easy to customize! If there's interest, I'll post some of the variant rules I've created later.

Help them out! It's awesome!
