Food for thought

Dudes and dudettes, I come to you with a question. What is a good snack to serve during a study session that also says, "I'm totally into you"?

You see, I will most likely be spending tomorrow evening with a lovely young lady with whom I am going to school with. We have an exam coming up this Friday, and much like last term, we believe that studying together will be helpful. Also much like last time, I would like to make something for us to consume. Thing is, I don't really know what. I want to do something simple but also elegant. My roommates have suggested a pasta something, which I'm inclined to do because I totally would like to try out a shrimp scampi over some kind of long noodle.

So I thought it would be nice to ask all y'all what your thoughts on the matter might be. What foods do you use to woo - or even just satisfy - your significant others/good friends?

Don't make it look like a date dude, show simplicity over sophistication.. it works best.
The focus is still the Studies so you need something not messy, not noisy, tasty, but porbably something one can eat with just one hand.

Finger sandwiches and tea are a good way to go, you can make an assort of flavors, and tea can be done on the spot, so you can offer her a selection to her taste, all with low cost.

Also, a nice mix of Salt and sugar is good... a jolt of Sugar might help out with studying and all. Wonderbread, Nutella and slices of Starwberry make tasty snacks and look classy

I find pretzels peppermints and water/a cola help a brain.
Pretzels provide salt and peppermints sugar and the water helps wash it down

Ask her to get something on another room and while she's away you rip off your shirt, draw a heart on your chest with Chantilly and announce that the snack is served.


But really, just a couple of sandwiches should do.

Guys, I am disappoint.

Chocolate-covered pretzels. Sweet, salt, chocolate, and easily munchable with one hand.

Mind you, this is as a side to something else. Probably best combined with the Nutella suggestion. You'll want milk, too, to cut the sugar and stave off the diabeetus.



Edit: Also, nothing kills actual studying like a sugar crash.

Carve the heart-shape into your chest with a knife. That way she'll know you're serious.

It has to be good poetry, though. Like, actually really impressive. And then that might be too strong. He's going for subtle.

You can also "joke" about it with her telling her "don't forget to bring the wine!" If she takes you seriously and bring any sort of Booze, you're in.
