Fun Radio stations

Just got my hands on the WunderRadio app for my iPhone this morning. Spent the day at work listening to foreign stations, the BBC, West Coast stations, and other random frequencies I found while browsing. I also fell in love with NPR which I've never listened to in my life. Constant live broadcasts from Japan instead of two minute pieces followed by traffic, weather and sports.

Since this has basically opened a whole new world to me, does anyone have any suggestions or recommended listening? I was tuned to BBC 5 for a while today. Found it a little surreal having them read the afternoon traffic report while I'm sitting having lunch.

I've only listened to NPR as far as talk radio goes, but there is a lot of good stuff on their website, or linked to it that they have on their station. You can listen to episodes of Radio Lab, This American Life, Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me, and so on. I don't know if you can access specific shows on your iPhone, though. Is it just NPR's 24 hour talk channel or what that you can access?

I'm going to look into this WunderRadio myself, it'd be neat to be able to listen to BBC and NHK World and so on.

Well, out here in San Diego, if you want some crazyness... There's always The Show. http://www.rock1053.com/pages/The_Show.html

Some of my favorite segments from that is "Tough Love" and "Tone-Deaf Karokie"

Then there's the sheer random things... like when they Punked the host, tricking him to sing Christmas Carols to their sales department for three days streight.

I know NPR has several stations listed, along with pre-recorded segments that you can stream. BBC is similar.

Reminds me of the Z100 Morning Show over here. I'll give it a listen tomorrow.

BBC is funny, especially the longest show ever that they're currently doing with Chris Moyles.
