I'd been meaning to make a thread about this, but I didn't realize it would be available for a limited time and procrastinated. Bollocks.
Point being there's a bundle of independent games being sold for the very fair price of whatever you're prepared to pay, including at least two I'd heard good things of, World of Goo and Gish. Not only is the price more than fair, there's also no DRM on these games whatsoever, and if that alone wasn't reason enough to support the idea you can also pick whether you'd like your money to go to the developers or to charity (Child's Play is in on this, for example) or to both. For me this is pretty much the ideal way digital distribution should work. http://www.wolfire.com/humble e: full list of games: World of Goo Aquaria Gish Lugaru HD Penumbra Samorost 2 Also the 10 hours are only the time limit for purchase - once you've purchased it you can download them again whenever you want (and, of course, you can keep your own backups thanks to the lack of DRM). e2: all games are available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X |
