Seil Ah, The Local Newspaper, The Best Source Of News, Local Events And... Porn?

Look at this woman:

Now, she's cute, right? She's a pretty lady - and recently, she's been added to Maxim. That's kinda cool. Why is it news that a pretty girl is going to be in a Maxim magazine? Well, because she's local. She hails from Qualicum Beach, where I live. That's kinda cool, to have a Maxim beauty being chosen from my town.

Now, the above link is to a newspaper called "The Oceanside Star," and in the newspaper, they had asked the community to support Ms. McKenzie while she does her thing, which, I guess, is being hot.

Now, the picture above was taken from the front page of the newspaper last week. Do you see a problem with that picture? Anything wrong? Anything... indecent? Because one of the letters in the paper, which I read today, had this:

Okay, you might think I'm over reacting, but the page on A4 is very soft porn.

Also, the magazine Maxim is not something to be encouraged to be read by anybody wanting to grow a healthy family.

This is a place where we have Family Days and say things like "It takes a community to raise a child" but what is this?

Now I have to screen the local paper before my kids look at it?
The Star's Response?

"It took the community of Qualicum Beach to raise Maxim Hottie Sarah Mae McKenzie."

I always thought soft porn involved, you know, nudity or implied sexual or indecent conduct. She's just looking at the camera there. Does he have a problem with them referencing her and the magazine together, or the magazine? Because they weren't asking us to read the magazine, they weren't showing us indecent pictures, they were just asking us to support someone that might be close to us and inspiring local Qualicum Beach pride.

What do you think?
