This may not be customary, but you could give Chief to Lak. Or Chief decides he wants to part in the job.

Edit: Also, I think we need someone to assume a leadership role. Not an official one mind you, just someone who is a little more outgoing than the others when it comes to decisions. I vote Krylo because his character's back story hints at actually working with other people instead of bitter loners like the rest of us.
