Yes, I'm playing through these now. AC was pretty good, AC II is pretty much better in all aspects, though.
I had two questions for you guys about the DLC, I think a couple of you have played these games so here goes: 1. Is the AC II DLC worth buying? I heard the Bonfire of the Vanities was pretty great, the other (Battle of Forli) is so-so. Are the three hidden Templar temples (no idea what these are yet, just started AC II) worth paying the extra three bucks for or should I just get Bonfire of the Vanities and the Battle of Forli (the difference is that Bonfire + Temples is 7 dollars whereas Bonfire by itself is 4, Battle of Forli is 4 by itself). 2. Can I install these things now and have them show up in my current game when I get to that point or do I have to restart the game to have them show up in the storyline? I heard they are part of the actual storyline prior to reaching the end of the game when installed so I was wondering if anyone had bought the game and then downloaded the DLC later before getting to the point where it shows up, or if they had to start the game over. Oh, it's the PS3 Greatest Hits version. This wouldn't even be a question if the U.S. had had a Game of the Year Edition release like you folks across the water but I guess they want to get 8-11 bucks out of people (probably because people buy the used versions of these things. Personally I felt the 17 dollars on Amazon for the new version was worth my money, since Gamestop couldn't even beat it for the used version, the dorks). |
