So, due to circumstances of which I'm not entirely aware the raw text (so, no layout or art) of Exalted 3E got leaked a week or so ago. It's... actually really freaking good. Specific highlights include the sexy overhaul that Sorcery got and the core battle system that seems to strike a good balance between high lethality, while at the same time giving plenty of options to avoid simply getting gibbed the first time someone with a combat build gives you a dirty look.
Not everything's sunshine and rainbows though. The Craft system and Martial Arts systems have been taking some flak for being overly harsh XP sinks, and Char creation can end up with varying XP equivalent values depending on how you spend your point buy. It sounds like the sort of stuff that's relatively easy to houserule, but I'm just going off the reading at this point since I haven't had a chance to actually play it. Gonna withhold my own judgment 'till I have a chance to play it for myself but it seems like even the flawed parts of the system where the devs went slightly retarded are mechanically solid in ways previous editions just weren't. I'm probably gonna buy two copies when it actually gets released (one for me, one to lend out).
