Default So, Does Unadulterated Horror Like To Dance?

So I was checking up on some of the music for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories - even if the game apparently sucks, Akira Yamaoka always put in his all in the music department - and I found a clip of a song sung by Cynthia Velasquez. For those of you not familiar with Cynthia, she's the first person you meet in Silent Hill 4. Apparently Heather Mason, the protagonist of the third game, sings for us as well. In the these games, these girls meet horrors at every sight, see sights that would curl anyone's hair... Now they're singing DDR tunes.

So... does Pyramid Head get jiggy with it? Do the nurses go to the club after they murder everyone in the nearby vicinity? What's going on here?

What other things pair two fandoms - or household objects, or corporate mascots, whatever - together? Why are they paired? What sense does it make?
