Scrabble is about testing your vocabulary. This change pretty much kills that. Vocabulary is different from language. I might know Japanese words, but it doesn't mean I can use them properly to communicate.

I use www.freerice.com to test my vocabulary. But making up words is still closer to my idea of a good time. >_>

To me Scrabble's goal always was to get others to accept whichever seven letter word I wanted to get through. For some reason lesser gifted people seem to think I'm some sort of lingo genius. So it's rather easy for me.

Guys the point of scrabble is massive 3 turn strategies to set up the perfect board allowing you to play your killer 7 letter word on a triple letter score only to have your strategy work perfectely right up until the very person before you who plays a 10 point word on your triple letter box, thus making all your preperations worthless
