I don't play Monster Hunter. It took me a year to hit High Rank in Tri, and I never progressed further than that. I am a quitter and a shame to the hunters' guild.

There is minor resource gathering in that you gather mushrooms and stuff for health and you gather cubes to slap on your weapons and armor to make them stronger and cooler looking. It's just limited to equipment customization for now (most likely forever).
