Well, everyone has their own standard of acceptability. It's often hard to tell, but I don't mind jokes too much if I don't think it reflects what the person actually thinks; even if it wasn't trolling I couldn't get too riled up because it's obvious no amount of getting angry (or logic) would change his mind.
