Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

So, I downloaded this game today, and just finished the free trial.

The Bad

The plot. Cutscenes are painfully boring to watch. I haven't tried skipping them yet, but I may when I return to the game.

Toltec doesn't sound remotely like he should, and is far too trusting of Lara Croft when it's her fault the bad shit goes down.


The Good

Do you like Diablo 2? Then you might actually like this game.

Isometric view seems weird for a Tomb Raider game at first, but works really well.

Aiming, too, feels really wonky at first, but after you get used to it, I have a hard time imagining anyone having troubles with it. It's seems to have a bit of auto-targeting as well, which is nice.

The puzzles are decent so far.

There are collectable upgrades and the like.

Finishing things quickly or fulfilling certain requirements will net you nifty relics or upgrades. Also cool.

It's simple, but enjoyable. I'll try the multiplayer later tonight, but I dare say this is actually a good game. I am shocked. Not sure if it's a legit Tomb Raider game since it doesn't have an infuriating camera, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice.
