Seil TF2 Christmas!

Countrymen Hear my plea.
For it is a time of eternal glee.
on the eve of the 25th
all will receive good cheer!
except maybe Fifth...

the Barracks of different hue
decided to try something new.
Maybe new isn't true
as medieval fights are quite old,
even to the likes of RED and BLU

but not without due
new weapons are out
and they are quear to be true
if a bit stout
to the christmas sprite
that tells us to light
all of us about.

OK enough with the (pathetic) excuse for a rhyme TF2 updated with awesome
StatsAdded Medieval Mode, a game mode where players are restricted to using olde weapons.
'Your Eternal Reward' changes:
Spies can now change their disguise weapon via 'lastdiguise' while using 'Your Eternal Reward'
Already-disguised 'Your Eternal Reward' Spies are no longer forced to switch to displaying the melee weapon when they make a kill
Spies no longer play speech lines when making a kill with 'Your Eternal Reward'
Sentries no longer track 'Your Eternal Reward' Spies after they backstab someone
'Natascha' changes:
Spin-up time increased.
Slowdown-on-hit effect is reduced over distance.
Added 'The Medi-eval Medic', 'The Hibernating Bear', and 'The Expert's Ordnance' item sets.
Added new weapons: 'The Claidheamohmor', 'The Back Scratcher', 'The Boston Basher', 'The Fists of Steel', 'The Amputator', 'The Crusader's Crossbow', 'The Ullapool Caber', 'The Loch-n-Load', 'The Buffalo Steak Sandvich', 'The Brass Beast', 'The Warrior's Spirit', 'The Candy Cane', and 'The Jag'.
Added 20 new hats.
Added a prototype item testing map, and associated functionality, for contributors to test their work. Further details in an upcoming blog post.
Spies can now see TargetID's of players and objects regardless of their own disguise status.
Fixed some speech lines continuing after the speaker changes class
The Spy 'Sap Auteur' achievement now increments in cases where the Spy was the assister in the building destruction.
Fixed the arrow burning effect getting stuck on if you changed class in a respawn room with your arrow lit.
Fixed a Flamethrower bug that allowed players to rapidly fake the Pyro's airblast effect.
Throwing the Jarate or Milk now returns you to your previous weapon, instead of your Primary.
Added leaderboard to track duel wins.
Added ability for players to donate money directly to the creators of their favorite community maps.
Increased backpack size by 100 slots.

they nerfed Natasha? I can accept the spin up time but peppering enemies at a distance was one of its main uses

Also a main annoyance. Why it affects people over the length of a map really was kinda bad for any attempt to balance.

Im glad to see that it's still a bit better then the beta Nat falloff that nearly negated its use. At mid range it's still a beast

Also the new Demo club with the Charging targe is hilariously awesome
I manged to crit kill 5 people in one swing on melee only!

Holy shit, has anybody tried to do any testing for Amputator tauntheal range? I tried for a while. I did not find an upper limit.

So basically when you tauntheal with the Amputator, anybody who is within line of sight of you on your team (also they have to be on kind of level ground with you, but that's no big deal usually) gets healed as if with medigun. This does remove negative effects like flame and bleeding as usual. It doesn't charge uber or overheal, but I still much prefer it in a lot of cases.

One memorable bit was when I was at a crossroads right next to the enemy CP, and I just kept taunthealing to keep my entire team alive while under attack from sentries, heavies and pyros.

Speaking of heavies.... that Brass Beast is a MONSTER and you guys should enjoy it while it lasts because I can't see it existing as-is without nerfs for more than a few days.

More or less terrible than spying?

And damn. TF2 is totally the gift that keeps on giving. And giving. And giving. AND GIVING.

Anyone got stats on the new weapons? The wiki doesn't say anything yet.

You can view all the weapon changes in the Mannco catalogue.

The only thing that's really of note is that the Demoman's new melee weapon causes massive explosive damage (to you and surrounding enemies) on its first hit, which isn't mentioned anywhere in the description. (It's hinted at though - "A sober man would probably throw this.")
