No double title, not drunk enough. Not weekendy enough. Inly have three beers left.
But here's the thing: you've got a time machine. And an alternate dimension machine. Why? Fuck you, that's why. They're the same thing, it's just one big machine. And for some reason, you're gonna use this machine to meet someone that you've always dreamt of meeting. Just because, that's why. Let's say you can meet anyone, fictional or real, and that this is a... fuck it, it's just simpler... more simpler... to say that you've got a free trip in a TARDIS. You can understand any language and you can possibly fight aliens with anyone. Who do you choose to meet? And why? And would you hit it off, or would it be like meeting Ernest Hemmingway and he swears you silly for interupting him while he's writing? Or is it Hitler, and you're trying to convince him that he's wrong and he sends you to a death camp. Or is it Amelia Earhart, and she leaves for a second and never comes back? (Here are the conditions of this thread and junk:) You can meet anyone you choose, fictional or not. You have to tell us who the person is. Their psychoses will still apply, ie. they will be depressed or anxiety-ridden or whatever they are or were. You can choose the situation when you meet them, but everything's got to be legitimate - no running off to fight crime on a unicorn or whatevs. They will respond to you as a person they've never met. I've been thinking about this, and depending on my mood I might end up meeting the kids in Grave of the Fireflies. Saving just one orphan from starvation might seem like a waste of WW2 time travel efforts, not to mention it would rob the future of an excellent book and movie, but it'd be too sad not to.
And yeah I think they'd be a fan of anyone who shows up with a cheese sandwich so contact would not be much of a problem. There are a number of times and places I'd like to go and things I'd like to do, but typical of me I can't think of any people I want to see. Except maybe Milla Jovovich before she married that jerk Andersson. I'd probably just go off to Polynesia circa 1600 or Iceland 2001 to get in on Eve Online early.

Tesla. Without a doubt, Nikola Tesla. Crazy genius inventor who just performed mad SCIENCE! every day and made electricity his bitch. I'd also get to ask him if even half the rumours about his inventions are true, like the earthquake machine and the electrolasers.

![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clement_Attlee he was instrumental in creating the NHS and nationalised vast swathes of industry in the UK, he took the country from having terrible unemployment to having nearly full employment, he did whole swathes of shit for the working class. Much of which the conservatives in the UK are still struggling to remove and destroy.

Yes, but most great scientists are mental though. It's like a minimum requirement.

I wouldn't want to meet anyone, because then they'd have the great displeasure of meeting me.
