The wrong person found out about my fox and are saying I abuse her so she is taken away from me. Any advice on how to try and protect her from these animal rights nut jobs?

Ok, first off: show that you have the correct paperwork and the like to show that yes, the fox is your's.
2nd: contact the local humane society and have them check your home, and explain about the medical conditions the fox currentally has and what you are doing to help it. 3rd, if nessessary: Make sure you have a legal counsel available just in case. Also, a quick google search brought this up, so it may help some too.

Explain to them that since you own neither a horse nor a pack of hounds, you will not hunt the fox.
Resisting urge to make even sillier responses....

You may even consider lawyering up or seeking a consultation at least to know what your rights are. These people are usually eager to get the law involved. If cost is an option maybe contact a law school or university.

You need a permit, which itself requires you verify the animal is from a breeder and the game warden inspects where the animal will be kept with a yearly re-evaluation.
Beyond that its like keeping any other animal. Dont abuse it, dont let it bite people, that kind of thing

They didn't say the BS they were trying to levy.
Though what set them off was that I was trying to raise money to get her spayed

I would just ignore them and have the paperwork handy. Not a lot else you can do until if/when they were to try and lodge a complaint with the powers that be. I get that it being a fox instead of a typical pet has you more worried about the authorities examining you more closely but if you have all the legal paperwork to have the fox I don't see how anything can come of it if/when your wacky neighbor complains.
I guess you could preemptively contact whatever government office would be involved and get advice from them ahead of time about what your rights are and what their procedures are if someone lodges a complaint.
