And sure, within the Watchmen the rank would be purely cosmetic, something to be called upon in desparate situations. Outside of PATCA? He'll be a captain, or field commander, or whatever his rank will be. It'd be a start.

b) He's a front-line fighter against Ruin types. He knows their tactics, how powerful they can be. He has a lot more experience against them than any other possible choice in that sort of situation.

And besides, I doubt there's many individuals that have served in both military and PATCA. Additionally, however untrustworthy Rayleen might think Impact is (I'm not even sure she doesn't trust him, we don't know that), he's still more trustworthy than any of the Prideguard officers.

And why not have Elizabeth make gun turrets, or healing dispensers? And why are you suggesting that her status items should have "more kick" than mirror's or moon's?

Shevetson is Regional Chief of PATCA. He's the guy Rachel was talking to way back when before the second mission.

Look, all I'm sayin' is Honmyr is a big place, Fainas is a big place and PATCA is a big place. I mean, look at how many members the Watchmen have! And they're presumably not the only PATCA squad in the city, even if other squads are probably smaller. I'm sayin', I doubt characters with military and PATCA experience are as rare as you think they are.

As we've been told, our squad isn't the only one fighting against Ruin pokemon, so there are probably others with experience against Ruin pokemon who are capable leaders. I just said Shevetson because he seems like the type, though we don't really know much about him. And, as you said, Impact is a front-line fighter. He might serve better staying a front-line fighter.

Her status items should have more kick than Mirror's or Moon's because she doesn't get traps or items that clear out weather effects. Although I'll probably just end up giving her items that deal stat decreases to enemies. Fits her style more.

Gun turrets and healing dispensers? I dunno, maybe. Probably not gun turrets. She'd rather use Evoliths and her own pokemon for type advantages. Gun turrets would be vulnerable to things like electric attacks, magnetism, and Overload and Short conditions.

I guess she can have healing dispensers. I'm thinking some kinda thingamabob that deals steady healing for a number of turns. Gotta figure out the details.

EDIT: AB, how do Evoliths, and turrets for that matter, work in the battle formation? Do they take up a space, or can we have as many as we want?

And thing is, I doubt any of the other possible choices have fought generals. The Watchmen are pretty much the frontline force, here, the spearhead, the elites.

Mind you, I'm not saying that this HAS TO HAPPEN, I'm saying that I'll see if I can make it happen, one way or another. I'll iron out the wrinkles later, the only reason I came up with it at all is that I had trouble falling asleep last night, so I did some thinking on how I could achieve Impact's goals. And hey, general of a joint police/military force seems pretty good.

Oh, and Menarker, I've been thinking... We determined that to make Renny's obedience to Impact IC, we'd need an emotional bond. What'd happen if Impact asked Renny to... give him some advice, on social interaction? Would that be enough to build up said bond? Hell, for that matter, make it Renny who approaches Impact about his curt, unfriendly manner. He wouldn't like hearing it from him, but he'd go "Wait, the weakest (i.e. most open, caring guy) here thinks I'm unfriendly? Shit."

Like I said, we don't know much about Shevetson. For all we know he could have military experience. It's not outside the realm of possibility, anyway.

Impact wouldn't be doing much front-line fighting if he's in charge of the Prideguard, is he?

I resent the overall "kindness/softheartedness = gayness" theme that Pierce is constantly belaboring. Do the rest of you think that it's pathetically tiresome when someone overuses a joke to the point of boredom and tears? =P *The fact that the same thing also means weakness in Impact's viewpoint doesn't make things much better either...*

The ability for Enforcers to switch out with the PCs to grant them a period of rest and charge up Rage is not in the database. Is this absence accidental or did you decide to remove it?

- A move that is designated to affect all targets like Gravity, Heal Bell, and Signature Techniques that target all will only strike the designated target and the two targets on either side of it.

Does this cause my "Effect All" ability "Propsperous Gifts" to effect only 3 people? (Kinda built the move intending it helped everyone in a manner that Sexy Party did before that got changed too.)
Interesting to note that Chizuru has THE EXACT SAME ability under the different name "Share Item" except that it's free for her (unless my version actually does cure the ENTIRE party as compared to her 3). I think it would be a bit demeaning/unfair that a move that I invented is not only copied but made free for the copy. (even if that copy is Chizuru)

In your maximized DSS setup, there are a total of ten slots. Each character will have an Enforcer who will guard their backs when the formation is complete (all PCs are in one battlegroup). This has no actual effect on the battle itself. When the formation is split up, Enforcers will enter the divided battlegroups and fight directly.

The other five slots are reserved for the other Specialties. You will have one Sniper, one Engineer, one Medic, and one Destroyer. You can see details for all of these Specialties in the section entitled Specialties.

So to clarify, unless a situation changes drastically and we're forced to split up, Impact, Pierce, Renny, Matthias, Charlotte will all be in the same group and there will be 5 others at most?

Also, if we don't have a Destroyer ready to recruit to our party, can we substitute for another person?

2. Lucario (Zen Aura) ~ 3 Turns, Self Invincible, 100% Critical, 100% Hit. Aster uses the ability to see Aura and becomes the perfect fighter for three turns.

Is there anything special about Aura that we should know about like their overall effects, where/when they occur and such? (or should I check out Bulbapedia's section on it, since Ash was capable of using it too...) Or is that Aura thing just for description and flavor text?

In a similiar line of questioning, you mentioned that IC Aster has the ability to detect danger and that sort of thing. Is there no mechanic involving that, or is he for all purpose a normal NPC regarding danger (or even a "Captain Obvious" who reports danger once it already boldly announced itself to our team.)

Can there be multiple Evoliths on the field on our side at a time? Like say if any Engineer who can make Evoliths such as Moon manages to get enough rage to create a 2nd one while the first one is still active, is that possible?

Rayleen might take offense by the fact that by saying this, you declared (or imply) Renny as less competent especially right before saying that he know she trusts him. Hardly a good way to get in her good grace. =P
For all you know, she'll do what I do and state that being nice or kind does not mean he lacks competence of any kind, or something of that nature (why else you would bring it up?). Impact might truly believe that philosophy is a mistake, but what does that matter if he's not the one in position to pull the strings but rather her?

EDIT: Dormond's 3rd pokeshift is Houndoom? I thought you said it was going to be a Tentacruel? ^.~

Details on level by level progression of the character's upgrades and benefits including the vaguely hinted Half-Demon would be nice when you get the time to add that in.

- Poison, Freeze, and Confusion all generate Rage Points for the user when the effect deals damage to the target.

How/when does Freeze status itself does damage?

Should I be bold enough to suggest that whenever AB talks about "a target and immediate adjacent targets" that we should refer to that as "Splash" or "Wing" effect or something?

That should clarify the difference between All targets (which should literally mean every applicable target) and AB's target and anyone on left and right side.
For example: Target an Ally. Apply full Splash healing. (Target and one on immediate left and right side get the effect of full healing.)

Naturally, Splash (or whatever we'll call it) will be cheaper than All targets for making techniques or so.

We don't know that. Impact has training in the military AND he's working at PATCA now, and he's much younger than Shevetson. Entirely possible that Shevetson had military training in the past or something relevant to it.

EDIT: Dante, have you decided what your 3rd form would be? You got access to legendaries as well, so it should be quite interesting to see what you choose.
