The battleships haven't changed. But the last patch leaked in D'deridex Defenders, cruisers with RSP, Aux2SIF, Feedback Pulse, and I think a shield heal/science team and heavy plasma torps. It's supposedly an enemy from an upcoming Romulan-based fleet action (STF?) that the devs, in Cryptic fashion, forgot to prevent from integrating with the list of possible spawns for normal missions. Most of the players can't handle them and are very upset on the forum.

This has only further proven to me that most of the players are terrible. I like how one poster put up images of him defeating it without shields in a vanilla bortas.

Like. I totally realize that the experienced PvP players have been around a while and know some nuances I don't. But it's not like this game is difficult. But so much fail.

The sad part is about the same day we took Synk into Ker'rat for the first time she pretty much owned feds anyway. It's about doubly sad that that's about as tough as the feds in Ker'rat have ever been.

So yeah, I donno if they're just bad, or the players better than me know better than to play such a terrible game, or what.

My Marauder feels like it has armor made of wet tissue paper in Kerr'at. I think I need advice. :(

My older Marauder posts are a good place to start, but they're imperfect compared to later builds. Of course, I also haven't played in a while and there have been some changes that I haven't really concerned myself with, so there's a chance that I can only help you so much.

What's your build currently look like?

Doing this from memory, as I am still at work.

I heal great in STFs, but PvE enemies are kind of yawn. I was in Kerr'at the other night and gettin' owned like a boss at the spawn repeatedly. Didn't seem to have any punch when it was just me and another cruiser, either. In any case, my tac-captain'd Vor'cha feels like it tanks way better somehow.

The ship currently has the Borg shields, engines, and console. I would like to be running Honor Guard shields on it, though.

Running all beams + one torp fore and aft. Random level/quality MK X disruptors slotted for now, as I kitted out my BoP first.

Bridge Officers
Lt. Tactical: Tac Team 1, BFAWII
Lt. Com. Eng: EPtS1, RSP1, ET3, (has eject warp plasma in case I don't need extend shields)
Commander Eng: EPtS1, EPtW2, Aux2SIF2, Extend Shields 3
Lt. Sci: HE1, TSS2
Ens. Sci: TSS1

Consoles
Eng: Neutronium Alloy Mk X (x2), Monotanium Alloy Mk X, EPS Mk X (all blue; should be getting Mk XI)
Sci: Borg, Field Generator Mk XI, Emitter Array Mk XI
Tac: 2x Disruptor MK X for now (not sure I will stick with disruptor beams)

I toggle between the Marauder shuttles and the regular/common quality siphon drones. I could also steal S'kul fighters from a Kar'Fi.

I can't log in to get my power levels, but I have one with high weapons for attacks and junk and toggle to another that mostly ups shields and aux for defense and heals. I know without numbers that doesn't really say much.

My recommendations (if you want to straight up copy the unrivaled tanking power of the Arachnid's Grip) would be to replace EPtW2 with EPtS2, then replace one of your EPtS1s with ET1, unless you've managed to get enough Maintenance Engineer doffs stacked up to reduce your ET cooldown to the GCD. I also personally prefer Attack Pattern Delta to BFAW from a defensive/support standpoint.

I would also majorly recommend getting a Plasmonic Leach console and replacing your Monotanium Alloy console with it. Replacing your Mk Xs with Mk XI blues (or Mk X purples) is definitely worth doing, as well.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what you're running in terms of shields/deflector/engines, but I prefer the Borg engines and deflector with the Mk XI KHG shields.

Yeah, that's the engine/shield combo I want, but I haven't gotten the tech drops yet for the shields.

So how many enemies can you take at a time?

Also I don't have the dilithium for 800 C-points right now.
