BHS: I can see how Adams' fiction style doesn't catch you, but sometime, check out the stories about him in "The Salmon of Doubt." I think he was a pretty cool guy.

I'm trying to find non-superhero related movies based on comics, but I can't seem to find any. In which case, V for Vendetta.

As far as I know he's in the Dawkins vein of ridiculously staunch athesists which totally turns me off because they think using 19th century views of empiricism and logic proves everything.

Yeah SMB, I took what you said quite literally and it hurt my feelings.

Also, after delving into the Mouth-of-Madness-esque Wikipedia page for Southland Tales I discovered that the comics were just sort of prequels for the movie, not the basis for them. Meaning, it would be like saying the continuity-porn comics for the most recent Star Trek movie were the basis for the series. SO...

Hmm...I wanna say either Ghost World or Road to Perdition...
