Yeah, other than a few certain enemies that I just want dead yesterday, I don't really see rockets as a 'kill guys' thing so much as a 'get shit out of the way so other people can kill guys thing, and if you happen to do some damage along the way good for you.'

And shredders are great for that second one.

Especially with blaster launchers. Any excuse to have another blaster launcher shot.

Using Rockets to get to an enemy that thought it was safe is a great way of dealing with things.

i dunno if i'm doing something wrong here...

I'm on the very first mission (finally got the game) So i have my team, Bells, Smarty, Seil and Ryong (yep... wanna see who'll survive) and 2 aliens.

Now check this out...



See? Ryong is exposed to 2 aliens, i can only shoot one with 68% chance of hitting, or i can lob a Grenade with 90% chance of killing the bastard... but the game won't let me! I click and click and click.. and nothing happens.

Am i doing something wrong here? God Damn it Ryong, why won't you lob your Grenades?!

There's an interface issue where it doesn't like you clicking beyond the range of rockets and grenades, it should respond if you left click it within the circle, it just makes it hard to nail enemies at the edge of your range.

Thankfully it worked out in the end, and Ryong redeemed himself by killing two aliens inside a house with a well placed Grenade... the end result:

That looks like the tutorial, where it forces your only squaddie heavy onto the roof and exposes your guy unnecessarily. If that's the case then I don't think the tutorial will let you chuck a grenade at that point.

e- Also, grenades always go where you aim them, and it's a uniform 3 damage in the aoe sphere, so you can get an alien inside the edge and still do full damage to it. The rocket launcher on the other hand has that 10% chance to veer off course.
