It was like Sam Jackson playing a comedian playing Sam Jackson, and it was the best thing he's done in fucking years IMHO. I saw it in the theatre and was able to appreciate the sublime dumbassery... totally great raunchy fun.

See, it doesn't annoy me that it's so bad. It's more now they can never have a good spirit movie.

I will never be able to see this on the big screen.

Hmmm, I thoroughly enjoyed Punisher: War Zone for its over-the-top hilarity and it was also given overwhelmingly negative reviews. Perhaps I will also watch The Spirit.
