It's been snowing non stop all weekend. In the past two weeks we have received almost half a meter of snow.

Fair enough, fair enough.
But still. It takes a LOT more snow to shut down an AIRPORT in the US (I should know. I flew through a snowstorm last time.), than it does to shut down the railways in the Netherlands.

My solution: Don't build transport networks in places where it snows. There you go, I just saved everyone lots of trouble.

Hey now what's wrong with Chester?? Well, except for the Blacon area. And the incessant crowds. And the preacher dude who's always wandering the middle of town telling us all how evil we are and how the world is going to end!

Other than those things it's not a bad place.

True, it's very silly how badly prepared the train sector was.
On the other hand, I think Schiphol (Amsterdam's airport) was in decent condition through everything, it was just the airfields in OTHER European countries that couldn't handle it which caused delays for people there (but really, snow in Spain, people go there to spend the winter in better climates than here in the Netherlands, not for the snowstorms).

Due to the high volume of colleges/universities in Massachusetts, my dad has an auto-worker friend who tends to get quite wealthy around Winter. Because none of you out-of-state students have any idea how to drive in the snow and yet you insist on doing so anyway.

This. Don't be surprised when you move to New England and you get snow. :shifty:

The lack of snow here is kind of odd.

It's Canada, we usually get 10000 snowstorms around this time of year

After living my entire life just east of Buffalo, where the lake effect from Lake Erie tends to cause snow to drop in solid blocks from giant buckets in the sky, it's a nice feeling to go outside today and it's 60 F, and then come back inside and read all your posts about the snow and think, "ha ha suckers!"

I used to get mad at the front page posts Brian would make taunting all us northerners every winter. Now I understand the appeal.
