So we are clear

well it does work now, guess it only loads when it feels like it.
Well the no-turn I think depends if that "can hit you" means you cant get near it or just the usual danger of standing near a firing turrent. So anyone else find the grid that shows how strong each one is against each class? Looks like still a few more updates if it is legit. Engineer is gonna be huge

I'm pretty sure it means it only fires in all directions like it's not really capable of aiming. So, if an enemy gets by it, whoever is near it, will probably perish.

I found the grid, lower right corner, but I wasn't quite sure which icon meant what.
And I very much doubt this is legit. It'd still be cool if it were, but I think Valve is gonna be less focused on creating various turret variations, and more focused on giving the Engie's role some more variety. Perhaps let him actually partake in combat to some degree. Edit: Never mind, I just found out what the icons meant. And holy shit, the thing's actually gradually updating. I thought the question marks were just teasers, but there's actually more stuff coming in. There's now an "Anthill". Last edited by Geminex; 03-31-2010 at 10:24 PM. |

He updates each day. Yesterday was Big Bertha's day.

I'll be happy if Valve changes things so Engies can get assist kills by maintaining another Engineer's sentry. It would encourage engineers to help one another, and it would be a nice present for those who already routinely help other engineers under fire. It would also encourage engineers to try building in new, riskier places, since they'd be more likely to get help if their stuff comes under fire in a high-traffic area. Sure, it might also attract noobs who find the best placed sentry on the map and camp it to steal its points, but I think the benefits would outweigh that.
I dunno. Maybe give Engie a wrench that gives him assists on other folks' sentries, but never crits or has reduced damage or something.

Wait, if the No-Turn can hurt the Engy himself, but it also requires constant refueling of ammo (both in the dscription)... how would you be able to refuel int without getting killed?

Probably it would have a blind side.

Making it happen.

Seems more like you'd refill it when it wasn't being attacked. Or when it ran out of ammo.
A blind side would seem to defeat the purpose.
