Pyros is actually causing the hurricane to veer off the coast of North Carolina, because I didn't want any hurricanes to mess up my birthday. You'll notice it makes a subtle arc around Charlotte, NC.

Good luck peoples on the coast! I have faith in your ability to survive!

Remember to keep your cell phones, laptops charged, so that when power goes out and whatnot, you can post how crappy your day is via cellular and/or call for help.

But in all seriousness, make sure you got all your important documents ready, and irreplaceable stuff also documented, just in case. And if there is flooding, don't be dumb and try to cross it. And make sure your car is filled with gas if you are evacuating. One of the main causes of traffic jams during evacuations are from cars running out of gas.

Not only is New York getting hit by the fun, but I AM WORKING ON A GIANT DEATHBOX THROUGH THE WHOLE THING. That's right, seems that Sandy wants to ruin my uniforms by having me swim to my patients tonight. Send some happy thought my way guys, it's going to be a rough few days.

Not too worried. Might be some flash flooding but I'm not currently living on a flood plain...the main thing is traveling to/from work might be slippery or flooded.
