My PC murdered another UPS yesterday. I still have no idea of how can plugging it into a USB port make it short circuit and go smokey and beepy and stuff...
BTW, my PC hasn't murdered anything else using it's USB ports, just this 2 UPS.

Not gonna lie, when I first read that AkaSM, I thought you said your PC killed a UPS employee.
Only 4 hr of sleep and my brain is already screwing with me. Anyway lately my little sister is now waking me up in the middle of the night to walk her back into bed. I don't know why she keeps doing this but after 3 days straight of this, it is now starting to bother me. |

I'm fully rested and sound of mind and I still think your PC murdered two UPS employees.

I have no idea what UPS means if it isn't United Parcel Service. You may have to put that PC down.

Doing some random online classes pretending it'll help me find a better job. Got an HTML5/CSS class and a Medical Terminology class.
Listening to the Bastion soundtrack on infinite repeat because HOLY SHIT IT IS AMAZING. Downloaded the Super Best Friends mod for Skyrim and it is awesome. The only downside is that you're supposed to start a new game in order to use them because they sometimes interfere with certain missions and will occasionally refuse to leave your party. It sucks because I want them to hang out with my level 40 character instead of stealing all the kills from my level 1 guy. But hey-- the fact that I can have Matt go Fus Ro Dah a guy across the room by yelling "AMERICAA!!!" while Pat turns invisible and complains about everything is worth it. I got Volume 2 of Darkwing Duck for my birthday today! Also my folks got me a DVD of Rescue Rangers as a joke because it was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE THING as a kid. I insisted my parents call me Gadget and my favorite possession was a pair of Rescue Rangers suspenders that I actually just found today in a box in my closet. ...I'm actually supposed to be working on the CSS class right now. Oops. BACK TO WORK.

I read a fascinating bit of semantics just now. A J Barton Bowyer describes "cheating" as "the advantageous distortion of perceived reality". This:
a) Sounds badass. b) Is totally Invisiblism. c) Applies to both the concepts of cheating in games and cheating in relationships. Finally we understand how those two things are the same. And suddenly how cheating is a thing that can be done in contexts other than games or relationships. Fox "News", to take an example from the top of my head, are cheating at how the nation of the United States is run. Provided that the way they distort perceptions is actually to anyone's advantage, anyway. Who can tell in the long term? Slow down there cowboy, you say, how is it distorting anyone's reality if I dally with someone beside my significant other? Well, I don't want to dictate the terms of your relationships, but my considered opinion is that cheating in a relationship isn't sleeping with the wrong person but hiding the information about who you're sleeping with that you don't want your SO to know about; constructing for your SO a reality that gives you the advantage of appearing faithful when in fact you're not, in Mr Bowyer's terms. This concept of cheating may also apply to single player games without an overly generous definition of "reality". A solitary game world can already count as a perceived reality where you give yourself all kinds of advantages such as extra lives, and then it's just a matter of what degree of deviation from the norm you want to call "distortion", like you could argue that playing in any way differently from how the game designers intended you to is distorting the reality they want to present. Usually to your advantage because you're having fun. Late I realize that this thrilling definition is actually vague as fuck. "The advantageous distortion of perceived reality", right, that just leaves the question of whose advantage, what forms of distortion, whose perceptions and which reality. You could probably use it to question the validity of everything in existence including the universe itself. If all is cheating, is anything real? Blah blo Maya blah Wittgenstein bluh The Matrix and more importantly, who controls the illusion and what can we do about it? Geez, it's only 11 PM and I clearly need to lie down. PS. Happy B-day M-Mage. Brings to mind the inevitable question of who here had those very confusing proto-psychosexual reactions to Gadget? *raises hand*

I was watching Batman: Brave and the Bold on Netflix. I know, I know. I was vocal that I hated it when it first debuted, though I only watched I think two episodes. It has grown on me now. Still think all that money and work could have been spent on a more serious toned Batman, but this thing IS hilarious, so...plus we're in post-Young Justice times now, and that show was totally great especially in its later episodes, so clearly CN is still interested in more serious cartoons. I can now go back and enjoy Brave and the Bold as just its own hilarious thing.
