All I'm saying, if Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination, then Obama is getting elected again. Judging how Obama hasn't really talked to protestors and their frustrations directly, I doubt the crooked game we call American politics will continue.

He actually wins, expect Obama to get 4 more years. I just can't consider him a real candidate when he'll say and do anything to win.

I actually think this election will be talked about in retrospect as the one Romney would have won if he wasn't Mormon, like losing even 1% of the evangelical vote will tilt the balance, which is actually kind of a sad narrative, the notion that prejudice among certain conservative Christians will have actually saved the nation.

The true Darkhorse in this fight, much to my surprise, is the OWS movement. it's opening a dialogue that the country has much needed for 3 decades. When capitalism hit the fan, it exposed the problem of income inequality that everyone is ignoring in lieu of rising wages before. (I personally believe OWS needs to change to voting reform in order to drive the message home that this system is over and done with /tangent) Would he win the states he's needed? No, Obama is still the stronger of the two candidates. What I *would* be interested is seeing if Ron Paul gets the nomination. That would be a true battle. That would be the true people's choice even if everyone agrees that some of his ideas are nutter. |

Romney is strong because he isn't mired in scandal yet. But he will be his own downfall. Not just his shifting positions on everything, but the fact that he presided over the health care reform in MA, which is like a blueprint for what is now derisively referred to as 'Obamacare'. He reverses position on major policy issues roughly every 2-4 years. He has zero foreign policy expertise. He is rich beyond all reason, and in reward to the people who made him this money he fired and/or outsourced jobs. He is a shoo-in for the nom because he epitomizes the current GOP, and yet he is a disgusting worthless POS that will never actually win the seat short of outright and blatant vote-fixing.
If that happens I actually think there will be rioting in the streets, and believe me I fully expect vote-fixing to occur (again).
