Charlotte, it seemed, was able to cope well with the new evolved Ruin pokemon, as well as her new leadership position, and her team quickly dispatched a Narcham and a Pulverot.

Not that that did anything to discourage the rest of the Ruin pokemon about to tear into them.
"We're doomed, aren’t we." Cassus said dejectedly.
Kirie just laughed. "Don't be such a crybaby. I'm excited, I haven't had a decent fight in months!"

The two Gendom quickly generated two more Narchams, and the Ruin pokemon counterattacked mercilessly. Though they only suffered one casualty, Charlotte’s team was reeling.

Everyone felt suddenly sluggish as Gravity came into effect, courtesy of Lola. The Killdolls were brought down to normal speed, so now Impact’s team wouldn’t have to worry about their evasion.

It was interesting to watch Mirror turn a Fire Stone into an Evolith, which then proceeded to blast fire at two Killdolls.

"I'm sorry, Liz, for what I did to you. But I can't let you stop me now. I have to rescue Sam."
"What makes you think she even wants to be saved? It seems to me like the only reason she'd be here in the first place is because she wants to be."
"I know Sam. She'd never fall for Faynoc's bullshit."
"You haven't seen her in years, Pierce! People change."
"She hasn't!"
"You know what? I’m done arguing with you. I'm just going to take you out and collect my payment."
"Liz…"

"Can I just say something?" Violet piped in. Both Pierce and Elizabeth shot her dirty looks, which instantly shut her up.

"Draw." Liz said coldly. Pierce released Palkia and Dialga, and Elizabeth wasn’t even fazed by the two Legendaries staring her down as she released her pokemon.

One of them was a Sceptile. It was wearing armor that covered its feet, thigs, forearms, shoulders, chest and head, though the helmet was open. Green lines glowed and the armor gave off a faint hum, indicating it was power armor of some sort.

Elizabeth’s other pokemon, however, was stranger than Sceptile. It was a weird Lopunny. She wore all black and leather, down to the boots and up to the spiked wristbands and the whip she held in her hands. Her appearance practically screamed dominatrix, belying Lopunny’s previous innocent image. "What the hell did you do to your Lopunny?"

A whip cracked. "That's Leprihare to you, little boy. Ive been wanting to have'some fun with you for years." Leprihare said, licking her lips.

And it was on.

Impact glanced at Mirror, Kurika. Strange. He was no longer leader, and still they treated him with... respect? Yeah, that was it. He'd have to observe it longer. This feeling was rather unfamiliar. But he did know that he didn't want either of them to get knocked out just yet.

"Y'know... This really pisses me off. All these annoying little robots, chipping away at our HP, almost bringing a few of us down. That makes me angry just watching. I can only imagine how incensed some of you must be. A lot of them are weakened. So use some of that rage of yours. Finish them off. We can weaken them enough to cripple their counter-attack. And when we're done here, we can find the engineer who made all of these. But first things first. Lola, heal up. Whitney, pokeshift. Froslass, go in with a blizzard. Have Ninjask take out a weakened one, maybe P. Mirror, centrifugal cannon, have the evolith keep blasting away at them. Kurika... get back. My turn." He grinned as he slotted a clip into his HV rifle, took aim, then started blasting away. He felt adrenaline flow through him and he swept his fire across two enemy killsdolls.

Lola: Switch back to Lopunny form so to minimize her weaknesses. Heal herself twice, Whitney twice, and Mirror twice. 50 rage spent since the first two items are free but each additional item is 25 rage) This results in full healing of Lola and Mirror and they'll be re-healed after the enemy phase for 50% of their max health.

Whitney: Paradigm Shift in her Froslass form. Double her base stats and no weakness. (60 rage spent) STAB Blizzard Killbot M and O, presumably knocking them out due to doubled power. Ninjask is sent out to attack Kill Bot P with X-Scissor for STAB damage. Immense high speed gives it a 25% maybe 33% chance of critting for double damage, but the foe should be weak enough to defeat without it. (I don't know what speed a killbot has, but it's probably not as high as a Ninjask.)

Impact: Switch in for Kurika. Sweep Killbot D and E. (25 rage)

Mirror: Centrigual Cannon on Killbot C and a random foe. Hopefully Kill bot F. (25 rage)

"We are so doomed."

"Allow me to repeat what has been said: would you kindly shut the fuck up?" Charlotte told Cassus, a long scowl forming across her face. Things were most certainly not peachy-keen right now, and having random recruit bitch and moan wasn't doing much good. "I can promise you that most of us don't particularly care about what happens to you by the end of the day. If you can be of use without complaining though, then I might work towards a lesser sentence." She could only hope that this would shut him up.

With that much taken care of, Charlotte examined the formation shown on her scouter. 'Just slow down and think,' she told herself as she took stock of the situation with the rest of the team. She was not going to give anyone the satisfaction of knowing Charlotte Beaufort failed at something. Making plans for others was not entirely something she was used to doing, but Charlotte had been through worse situations.

"Alright, lets get down to business," Charlotte announced as she released Buck from a pokeball that was worn at a belt around her waist. She really was hating the lack of her coat, in fact it was probably the most depressing part of the previous mission.

"Melanie, pump Kirie with another X-attack and then fix up her wounds. Spitz, use super fang on the unprotected Genfom, and I want you to follow it up with an Iron Tail Buck. Matt use Psychic on Pulverot B and go ahead and poison on the first Narcham. Cassus, be a dear and have Dragonite attack the Gendom, and Scizzor on Narcham I. Kirie, once Melanie is done then repeat the last step. Morphstrike on Pulverot B and an extrasensory to follow."

SHe gave them just a moment to process the orders before signaling for Buck and Spitz to forth on the assault of the Gendom. "We best be quick, I'm sort of getting burnt out on this ruin bullshit."

He wasn't happy with this arrangement. Being teamed up with the psychotic team member of the Watchmen only meant he could make sure she didn't go on a killing spree. Which was useless when there probably wouldn't be many civilians. Whoever thought this team arrangement was a good plan wasn't thinking. For the moment he'd have to make the best of it though.

Matt nodded briefly.

"Very well. Psychic!"

His mental assault targetted the mentioned Pulverot, poison seeming to fling itself from his wings onto the Narcham, attempting to poison it on the spot.

Thanks to Impact's leadership, the Watchmen were able to eliminate half of the enemy Killdolls.

Pierce’s Story

Violet didn't move. Pierce and Elizabeth didn't move either. They were both waiting for the other to make the first move, and Violet knew better than to try and get between them.

Suddenly, "Leprihare, Helping Hand! Sceptile, Dragon Pulse!" Sceptile's boosted Dragon Pulse caught Palkia square in the face. "Dialga, Aura Sphere! Palkia, Spacial Rend!" Dialga's attack damaged Leprihare, while Sceptile withstood Palkia's Space Rend.

Elizabeth smiled. She and Pierce both knew that they hadn't even really started.

"Leprihare, Seduction!" Leprihare proceeded to blow a kiss and pose seductively for... Dialga. Oh now that's just bullshit. Sceptile and Dialga both proceeded to attack Palkia with Dragon Pulse. Pierce recalled Dialga for Metagross, then Pierce ran straight at Leprihare.

He needed to take her out before she could seduce any more of his pokemon. "C'mere, boy." She said with a wink. "I'm not your boy." Pierce replied as her whip flew at him and he skillfully ducked beneath it. He closed the distance to Leprihare and landed a solid hit with his Dragon Slave.

"Come on Pierce, is that all you've got?"

'Why aren't they dead yet,' Charlotte screamed mentally. Her expression was a rather contorted grimace for a moment, but she quickly formed it back into a normal scowl. Can't let anyopne see her lose composure as a leader.

"We really need to start taking out more of them, leader." Melanie told Charlotte.

'Thank you captain obvious,' she rolled her eyes as she responded mentally. Wait? Why was she bothering to be polite about it? "Thank you captain obvious," she said aloud this time.

"Anyways, I suppose she is right. Lets pull out some more theatrical stuff here. Listen up because I'm only saying this once!"

She then proceeded to explain the plan, and we proceeded to read. Thusly.

Matt grimaced as the casualties continued to wrack up. Oh and the Narcham's blades slicing at him. That may have had something to do with it. Either way they were in dire straits and those Gendoms needed to be taken down now. Which meant they had to finish off its guards ASAP. Seemed like a good time to go all out.

"Paradigm Shift!"

His body mutated into its full Venomoth state as he focused the extent of his now increased abilities on the only still standing Pulverot, wings beating rapidly in anger and poisonous dust clouding around Narcham J.

"Psychic!"

Impact felt blow upon blow rain upon him. He was fit, and fast, and he could take punishment, but these automatons were annoyingly agile. And painful, in these numbers. One hit him across the face and he reeled back, feeling blood start to flow down his neck from several deep gashes in his cheek. He briefly considered swearing at Pierce for getting them into this, but he hated to waste such an effort. There'd be enough time for profanity when they linked up again. He ducked another attack, slammed the butt of his rifle into the offending killdoll, then took two steps back. His mind cleared of annoyance, of distractions, and he started, once again, to... focus. He suddenly became acutely, acutely aware of the battle around him and though the noise and the color drained away, he saw every detail of the battle, the killdolls around him, his allies locked in combat with them, the evoliths. Not exactly frozen in time, or even in some sort of slow motion. But moving... comprehensibly. Almost predictably. He raised his rifle to his shoulder, took aim at the doll he had just struck, then paused, took another two steps to the left, bringing another killdoll into his line of fire. He checked the situaion again and then, without further ado, pulled the trigger.

The noise of automatic fire brought him back from that calm, quiet place into the real world, and he watched the two killdolls tumble to the ground in full color. They weren't out of it yet, but... that's what allies were for.

"Rally around me, hold formation. Lola, I could use some healing. Mirror, fire support, have it hit my targets. Whitney, choose your own targets, but go all-out. We need to thin out their numbers."

Whitney: Sends out Masquerain. It does Bug Buzz on Kill Doll F for STAB damage, presumably knocking it out since it's already weak. Whitney does STAB paradigm shift boosted Blizzard on Killdolls G and H, presumably knocking those out like before. (40 rage)

She moved between four enemies like a blur, her weapon changing form again and again as she struck. In the end, one of the Narchams was dead and the Pulverot and two others were severely damaged. "Bah." Kirie said, dissappointed.

Pierce’s Story

CLANG!

Pierce's sword fell again and again, only to be parried by the shiny Sceptile's armor-plated forearm. The light blue-skinned lizard blocked too fast for Pierce to land a hit, and forced the sword-wielding human to back away with a swift roundhouse kick that he barely dodged. Pierce charged the Sceptile again, only to stop short when a whip suddenly wrapped itself around his forearm. "Wh-" he began, turning to see Leprihare winking at him, but was interrupted by Sceptile's heel in his face knocking him on his ass.

Metagross' heavy mass launched itself at Sceptile with a Meteor Mash, which he easily jumped over, only to catch Palkia's Spacial Rend, sending the lizard flying into the air. Leprihare's whip wrapped itself around Sceptile's arm as he flew, swinging him around in a half-circle toward Palkia, who was struck by Sceptile's False Swipe. Palkia was looking pretty beat up after this and getting ganged up on by Dialga and Sceptile. Metagross caught Leprihare hard with a Meteor Mash while she was distracted with her partner, and Sceptile found Pierce's shoe in his face as soon as he landed.

Violet watched, and Elizabeth smiled.

[Bard The 5th LW]

"We're getting there, I guess," Charlotte said, with strong emphasis on the last words. At least they were down to just Narchams and the Gendom.

"I'm still not satisfied with this though!" she shouted at the team, hoping that maybe some insults would rouse them to battle less like pussies. "Time to work harder, or guess what? They kill us!" Charlotte took a moment (okay maybe a few) to devise the plan in her mind. Fortunately, the Narchams were one consistent type, so it wasn't that much a chore. With Future Shock still in affect, they should be able to inflict some damage.

"Alright, Melanie, revive Cassus's Dragonite and make sure Matty doesn't fall apart. Kirie, Morphstrike on Narcham J, the one to the right of the Gendom in case you weren't in the know. Mattias, once your in better shape I want you to use signal beam on Narcham H, and put Narcham M to sleep. Hammond, Sol-leks, be good boys and use Iron tail on the Gendom bitch. Cassus, have Gastrodon use another focused earthquake on Narcham J, and with your Dragonite alive, use Dragon Rush on Narcham H. Got that people?! If so then get to work!"
